THE INFLUENCE OF STUDENTS' MATHEMATIC LITERACY ABILITIES AND SELF-CONCEPT ON HIGHER LEVEL THINKING ABILITY (HOTS) OF PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract

The research aim was: 1) determine the effect of  mathematical literacy abilities and Self-concept on Higher Order Thinking Skills , 2) determine the effect of  mathematical literacy abilities on Higher Order Thinking Skills , 3) determine the effect of Self-concept on Higher Oerder Thinking Skills. This research is a quantitative study with survey method. The statistical test used multiple regression. The number of sample was 36 students selected by purposive sampling technique. The results of this research were: 1) there is a positive significant effect between mathematical literacy abilities and Self-concept on Higher Order Thinking Skills together 25%; 2) there is a positive  significant effect between mathematical literacy abilities on Higher Order Thinking Skills  By 14%; 3) there is a positive significant effect between determine the effect of Self-concept on Higher Oerder Thinking Skills By 12%.
