THE USE OF ROLE PLAYING TECHNIQUES IN INSTALLING TOLERANCE VALUES IN PKN LEARNING IN MULTICULTURAL STUDENTS OF CLASS III UPTD SD NEGERI 123445 PEMATANGSIATAR

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of role playing techniques in instilling tolerance values in Citizenship Education (PKn) learning in class III of SD
Negeri 123445 Pematangsiantar. The approach used is qualitative with participatory observation methods and in-depth interviews to collect data from students and teachers.
The results of the study indicate that the role playing technique is able to create a pleasant learning atmosphere and improve students' understanding and application of
tolerance values towards ethnic, cultural, and religious diversity. Through this activity, students are able to identify real situations and change their behavior and attitudes to be more tolerant. This study emphasizes the importance of the role of teachers as facilitators and the need for curriculum revision that supports inclusive and contextual learning. The implications of these results support the use of role playing techniques as an effective strategy in instilling multicultural and tolerance values in elementary schools.
